Urbane accommodation

A student accommodation block in the heart of Cardiff has been given a modern, metropolitan finish with Vieo wall cladding.  Installed by Euroclad customer Sky Green, the VieoZinc feature cladding helps the student accommodation on Salisbury Road in Cardiff stand out from the usual urban facades.

VieoZinc looks and weathers like zinc at a fraction of the cost; being composed of an aluminium substrate with a zinc-rich coating.

Willmott Dixon on quality mission

It was our pleasure to welcome Willmott Dixon to our premises last week.  We’ve forged strong links with this national building contractor and recent acceptance into their supply chain as a “Category A supplier” is testament to the work we’ve done with them.  A key element of Willmott Dixon’s strategy is their commitment to quality and it was obvious during the factory tour that this is strategic element that is common to Euroclad as well.

Founded in 1852, Willmott Dixon has grown to become one of the country’s most recognisable brands for the built environment and is one of the UK’s largest privately-owned capital works, regeneration and support service companies.  Group chief executive Rick Willmott is the fifth generation of the Willmott family to lead the business, aided by some of the industry’s most astute business people and supported by a fantastic team across all Group companies

Trusted source for fitting renewables

TGE Group was appointed by E.ON to install a complicated 250kWp rooftop system on its flagship new CHP Energy Centre, that will be used to power a new town outside Exeter.

The Energy Centre was designed with a curved roof that required a specialist mounting system that would not penetrate the roof.  The  solar panels were mounted on a new system based on Euroclad’s secret fix clamp fastening, which maintained the warranty of the new roof.

The solar PV installation is anticipated to  reduce carbon emissions onsite by 82 tonnes a year and will contribute to the supply of electricity from the Energy Centre to the 2,900 homes in the neighbouring village of Cranbrook, making it one of the largest low carbon communities in the UK.

New Euroseam Mobile Rollformer

One of the great things about SF500, Euroseam and Vieo is that they can be rolled onsite.  It is often a key requirement to rollform sheets onsite so that very long sheets can be installed without the hassle of special transport and handling requirements.  It also means that sheets are manufactured and available to fit precisely when they are needed, with minimal disruption to the areas surrounding the construction site.  Sometimes sheets are even manufactured directly onto the roof using a lifting rig and remote control manufacturing, as was the case with the 28,000m2 SF500 roof on the Olympic Broadcast Centre in London.  To make sure our mobile manufacuturing facilities are fit for purpose and provide the right corporate image, we’ve just completed a total refurbishment of one of our Euroseam mobile rollforming units.  This kind of investment demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing our customers with first-class manufacturing, products and service.
