11,000m2 of multi-waveform standing seam roof

A new Marks and Spencer store has recently opened in Cheshire Oaks and we are proud to have supplied 11,000m2 of multi-waveform standing seam roof to help achieve the outstanding visual, functional and environmentally-friendly elements of the design.  The building benefits from an Elite 4.17 roof system which comprises of a standing seam outer sheet, glass wool insulation (which helps achieve the 0.17 U-value) and curved liner sheet.

It is the second largest M&S store and the most carbon efficient, bio diverse and materially innovative. The store has achieved a BREEAM excellent rating and environmental credentials were fundamental to the construction.  The walls are rendered hemp, the roof support structure is timber and lamb’s wool roof insulation was originally specified but glass wool eventually used because more BREEAM credits were available.

This new building is typical of the direction that construction is taking; the combination of impressive looks with demanding performance requirements for minimal environmental impact is increasing and Euroclad are positioned to help you achieve just that.
