35th Anniversary – what a year!

 

2016 was a really great year for the construction industry and for Euroclad.
In a year of tumultuous politics, the construction industry has stood firm and in December enjoyed the fastest growth in new orders in almost a year.

Good news from 2016:
The construction purchasing managers’ index rose to 54.2 in December from 52.8 in November, signalling stronger expansion
Markit/CIPS UK Manufacturing PMI report rose to 56.1 in December (a 30-month high!) from 53.6 in November. That was well above the 50-mark separating growth from contraction and beat forecasts for 53.1 by economists in a Reuters poll

The UK:

  • economy grew by 2.2% in 2016, securing a seventh consecutive year of growth since the recession. The economy is now 8% bigger than pre-recession
  •  is expected to have grown faster than any of the leading industrial economies
  • exported £531bn worth of goods and services between October 2015 and September 2016
  • 168,210 new homes were built between April 2015 and March 2016
  • House prices increased on average by 6.9%
  • 342,000 more people in work

CAREER OPPORTUNITY – PROJECT SALES COORDINATOR

EUROCLAD ORGANISATION PROJECT SALES COORDINATOR
LOCATION – CARDIFF.

Objectives:

  • The ultimate aim of this role is to maximise sales by coordinating existing opportunities, developing future prospects and assisting both the Business Development and the External Sales Teams.
  • Existing opportunities will be in the form of web site enquiries, quotations issued, sample requests, requests for technical assistance and cross selling opportunities.
  • Future prospects will be discovered via early project identification which is necessary to allow a good chance of production specification, which in turn greatly improves the probability of a sale. Projects may be identified from marketing-generated enquiries, lead providers such as Barbour ABI, trade press research and referrals (eg. Elite Alliance partners). Also, our relationships with certain main contractors will give us early project opportunities that must be maximised.
  • This will be a key role in ensuring we achieve the maximum return from our activities and the successful applicant will be expected to contribute fully and effectively as part of a small, dedicated Business Development team.

Key Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • To manage a system for the effective monitoring of existing opportunities as listed above and to follow through their subsequent conversion into ‘Hot’ sales leads that can be converted by the sales force.
  • To use the PSA system for the progression of projects prior to transfer of ownership to the relevant sales team member.
  • To evaluate all information requests arising from the marketing programme and maximise the opportunities.
  • To assist the BD Manager in the attainment of new business targets.

Interaction:

  • Telephone contact with architects, main contractors, installers, public authorities, government departments and partners to verify nature and status of projects.
  • Liaison with Euroclad internal and external sales teams in the progress and handover of project leads.
  • To work closely with the PSA Administrator in maximising the efficient use of the database and other Marketing and Product managers in the generation of new enquiries.

Reporting: Directly to the Business Development Manager

Christmas and New Year

A few key dates for your festive diary

The office will be open until Wednesday 21st December, which will also be the final delivery date available in 2016.

The office will then reopen on Tuesday 3rd January 2017, with deliveries recommencing on Wednesday 4th January.

Since the development of the Vieo roof and wall profile we have seen this fast-growing product used to really great effect on residential developments.  So we thought that it was about time we spread the word. 20/1066 profile superseded

As part of ongoing innovation in products and manufacturing we will be discontinuing the 20/1066 profile

Over recent years the popularity of our 20mm profile has decreased, with other profiles within our range increasingly being used instead.To accommodate ambitious plans to improve manufacturing infrastructure, we have made the decision to discontinue this profile from the 1st August 2016.
The removal of the 20mm line from our manufacturing facility in Cardiff will create space that will accommodate investment in three new manufacturing lines. These will provide increased production flexibility and will make available a new steel ‘roof tile’ product, which will be launched over the next 12 months.

35 Years Strong

Euroclad 35 years

35 years ago Euroclad was conceived and we’re pleased to say that the business has grown, evolved and innovated in order to anticipate and react to the changing requirements of our customers. Metal roof and wall cladding has experienced evolution, revolution and renaissance since the 80’s and we have been ever-present; at the forefront of the industry as a reliable name, representing the very highest levels of quality and service.

Many early employees are still with the business, forming the backbone of the company in production, technical and sales, and supporting the company’s enviable reputation for reliable products, delivered on-time. This experience is balanced by enthusiastic new members of the team, who are helping to maintain our high standards and drive product development into new and exciting roof and wall systems.

We would like to thank all of our customers, new and old, for being part of both our history and our future. Managing Director Phil Cook, who was the second person to be employed by Euroclad, recently celebrated his 35th anniversary at Euroclad, saying “Working with such great people has been one of the pleasures of working at Euroclad over the last 35 years”.
