Innovation Is Our Motivation

As one of the most popular profiles that Euroclad has produced in its 36-year history, the 32/1000 profile continues to be in high demand.

To help meet that demand and to achieve our objective to consistently deliver on time and in full, we have invested in the development of new manufacturing machinery for the 32/1000 profile. In so doing we seized the opportunity to improve the roof profile side-lap detail in order to create a more accurate fit, making installation even easier and more reliable.

Benefits of the change

  • Fully nested sidelap
  • Better integration with rooflights at upslope end laps
  • Easier integration of sealants

The new profile is now in production and is the default 32mm Euroclad profile, with the preceding profile being discontinued over the coming months.

Booth Muirie has just completed a great new product brochure

Rainscreen manufacturer and Euroclad company Booth Muirie has just completed a great new product brochure, with updated system diagrams, additional case studies, technical advice on fire and thermal performance, and a general update of all the information it contains.  The brochure not only serves to illustrate what rainscreen products are available from Booth Muirie but also provides advice on some of the key issues surrounding rainscreen cladding.
It also includes information on Booth Muirie’s engineered support products – BML Smart Fixing Systems – as well as other components, such as fixings and firestops.

20/1066 profile superseded

As part of ongoing innovation in products and manufacturing we will be discontinuing the 20/1066 profile

Over recent years the popularity of our 20mm profile has decreased, with other profiles within our range increasingly being used instead. To accommodate ambitious plans to improve manufacturing infrastructure, we have made the decision to discontinue this profile from the 1st August 2016.
The removal of the 20mm line from our manufacturing facility in Cardiff will create space that will accommodate investment in three new manufacturing lines. These will provide increased production flexibility and will make available a new steel ‘roof tile’ product, which will be launched over the next 12 months.
Our Sales Team are able to offer alternatives for the 20mm profile so please contact them for further information – click here for contacts page

Elite Systems – New Website

Euroclad elite web site

To make it easier for you to understand, specify or install Elite Systems we have developed a dedicated website for these great, guaranteed roof and wall assemblies, covering all of the salient information about Elite Systems.

The website includes introductions to the systems and links to product information in the form of the Elite Systems brochure and System Detail PDFs.  It also provides system-specific information, such as architectural specification clauses and technical drawings.  The Project Gallery is very useful to see what kinds of Elite System installations have been completed, with a handy map-based search function.

Elite Systems achieve BES 6001

We are delighted to announce that Elite Systems have achieved BES 6001 certification for responsible sourcing. The recent audit of our management systems, conducted by the respected independent authority BSI, resulted in one of the three higher certification levels of the BRE standard being achieved (A ‘Good’ rating).

This covers all of our Elite roof and wall assemblies, which provide structural roof and wall solutions with diverse applications, flexible performance and a range of external finishes. With this achievement Elite Systems now provide even greater peace of mind, featuring BES 6001 alongside BBA certification of all systems and CE Marking of all components*. This is further strengthened by pre-existing, accredited management systems for quality, the environment and health and safety.

Whilst recent years have seen increased publicity associated with global environmental issues and the impacts of businesses on their communities, we have always recognized that our procurement decisions, manufacturing and supply practices can have an impact beyond our processes and as such, have endeavored to procure energy-efficient products through appropriate ethical behavior.

In short, aiming to meet the needs of the present without compromising those of future generations.

Certification provides independent assurance of the robustness of our responsible sourcing management systems and compliance to the standard demonstrates that we take the environmental and social impact of sourcing components and materials seriously.

BREEAM recognises the increasing importance of the issue of responsible sourcing. A section on responsible sourcing of materials is an integral part of the materials element of the methodology, with points secured from BES 6001 securing additional credits in BREEAM.

With the government’s increasing focus on sustainable development, many construction companies are recognising the need to prove that their buildings are built with sustainability in mind. One element of this is in the responsible sourcing of products used in their construction and the onus of proof is increasingly being passed down to the manufacturers of those construction products.
The BRE standard BES 6001 describes a framework for the organisational governance, supply chain management and environmental and social aspects that must be addressed in order to ensure the responsible sourcing of construction products. External auditing ensures all associated requirements and practices are appropriately maintained and that we are embedding these key considerations at the core of our activities.

We continue to collaborate with key stakeholders, and operate in a manner that is safe and respectful to people, our surrounding communities and the general environment.

BBA, awarding the official BBA Certification to our Group Technical Manager

Autumn is a time for celebrations, with Halloween and Bonfire Night heralding the transition from Summer to Winter.  This year it coincides with recognition of the ongoing evolution of our popular standing seam roof system Euroseam.

The principles of Euroseam are well-established; a standing seam aluminium roof with no visible fixings which provides roofs with clean, attractive lines and can be rolled onsite to extremely long lengths, eliminating end laps.  Euroseam roof systems were first awarded BBA certification in 2005 and updated in 2007. The 2015 update of the Certification reflects the consistent product development that we are committed to, providing systems that can react to the changing needs of our customers – including greater system range coverage and improved load/span capacity.

Pictured is Brett Wood of BBA, awarding the official BBA Certification to our Group Technical Manager Paul Clayton. Paul has managed BBA certification of all of Euroclad’s systems since 2004 when SF500 roof systems were the first to achieve coverage.

Its no Secret..

Hot off the press (and the PDF maker) is the new Secret Fix SF500 brochure, available to download or as a printed hard copy.  Secret Fix roofing is a proven product that offers fast, simple installation with excellent performance and design flexibility. There is no need for external penetrations of the outer sheet, end laps or sealant, resulting in excellent durability and a clean, uncluttered finish.

Secret Fix roofs are produced predominantly in Colorcoat HPS200 Ultra® pre-finished steel by Tata Steel with the system offering many of the advantages of a true standing seam. When installed as part of an Elite or ElitePlus system Secret Fix and the other component parts combine to provide a complete roof assembly that is guaranteed for 12 and 25 years respectively. The roof systems can be installed with a pitch as low as 1° and can be simply integrated into constructions where the material of choice is steel. Our Secret Fix roofing was awarded BBA certification in 2004.

Double the curves, triple the fun

The sinusoidal cladding profile was the very first of its kind, being invented in the 1820s by Henry Robinson Palmer, British architect and engineer to the London Dock Company. Originally made from wrought iron, it proved to be light, strong, corrosion-resistant, and easily transported. It soon became a common construction product across the World, more recently experiencing a renaissance in steel; whether as a fashionable architectural feature or applied more traditionally.

Inspired by the increasingly architectural application of sinusoidal profiles we’ve invested in a new production line that can manufacture sheets from Colorcoat HPS200 Ultra® and Colorcoat Prisma® pre-finished steel in a wide range of colours. The investment means that our sinusoidal profiled sheets are of the highest quality, whilst being competitively priced and available on short lead times. To add an extra dimension of design flexibility we have also installed a curving machine dedicated to this profile, which means that smooth-curved sinusoidal sheets can be supplied in lengths of up to 6m with an internal radius as low as half a metre in 0.7mm gauge steel (1.7m radius in 0.5mm gauge steel).

Almost 200 years after its invention we’re proud to be able to supply you with our version of this enduring profile; manufactured from high quality steel using advanced rollforming machinery and offering that extra bit of value that we pride ourselves on.
